Shruti, I am so glad to hear your sister is going with Advance Africa! We had a WONDERFUL experience with both Joe and Advance Africa as a whole! Our volunteer testimonies are all on the website, if you would like to check those out! Joe is really accommodating and he certainly has everyone’s safety as a top priority! Though that does not mean that your sister should not use her very best judgment in situations where Joe is not there! At times, I am sure she will need to be able to make decisions for her safety! Most of the time the trips are organized to where she will be with other people at ALL TIMES! Advance Africa is great and very much legitimate! If she gets to stay at the house in Nairobi, Kenya it is so beautiful!
